Cliff Richard(克里夫·理查德)1940年10月出生在印度的Lucknow，英国籍，他是英国流行音乐历史上最受欢迎和演艺生涯最长的艺人之一，有英国猫王和金童子的美称。在英国，他有八十多首歌曲进榜的纪录，其中十首是冠军曲，其中《Ocean Deep（情如海深）》是英国乐坛长青树克里夫理查浪漫杰作，此歌是80年代经典情歌84年英国榜top30。

Cliff Richard(克里夫·理查德)有英国猫王美称 。他是出生在印度的英国人当时印度独立回到伦敦后开始他的歌坛生涯，一开始从美国流传过到英伦的rock and roll 风靡全球他开始崇拜模仿猫王，开始登上舞台生涯，他的父亲做了他的经纪人，由于在他父亲的严格管教下一直没有女朋友，当时很多传闻他是同性恋，当时那个时代同性恋还是很不寻常的产物，最后他不得不在报纸上作出声明。他在音乐届只能成长青树就是靠他的不断适应音乐的流行从R&R到christian music再到后来的pop所以能走过50多年的音乐旅途一直到现在。
