Tenth live DVD release from singer-songwriter and seiyuu Naozumi Takahashi, released on November 7, 2008. It reached #11 on the Oricon Music DVD chart. Includes two discs, each featuring a different concert.

Footage of Naozumi\’s \”one\” tour final, held at Nakano Sun Plaza on December 30, 2007. Some good work here (–special mention to \”Tsubasa no Oreta Yuki\”, lovely in both its vocals/instrumentation and cinematography alike), but it runs a bit short at a little under an hour for the main show.
Unfortunately, a whopping 10 out of the 21 songs he actually performed that day got cut from this release, and none of the footage has since shown up on his other releases. Ho-hum.

Don\’t have much other background info or trivia to share about this one….currently (as of 2022), this is the only place you can hear \”O-kaeri\” live.

^ In early 2008, Naozumi featured in a TV drama titled \”Nekonade\” (ネコナデ). There, he played a would-be enka singer called \’Morioka Reimen\’. This song originates from there.

Live footage of Naozumi\’s first outdoors concert — a fanclub-exclusive event, held at Hibiya Ongakudo on July 12, 2008.
The setlist for the show was chosen primarily via fan request, with a couple new songs being thrown in for good measure.

Out of the 30+ concerts he\’s put to film thus far, this one lands near the top for me, and I\’d also consider it a very good starting point for anyone new to him who wants to check out his live work.

\”Kemono Michi\” got its only live performance at this concert. Incidentally, Naozumi\’s grandmother was a min\’yo/enka singer in the family\’s native Iwate, and Naozumi\’s parents were both traditional musicians who played the shamisen.
Naozumi isn\’t specifically trained in enka style singing techniques (or wasn\’t at the time), but takes a swing at it and approaches the vocals with at least a little more honest effort than I think the character he\’s supposed to be playing probably would\’ve (and moreso than in the recorded version for the Nekonade soundtrack). Worth checking out in any case.

\”Time Capsule\” hadn\’t been released yet at the time he sang it here, and they removed it from the DVD this time, but you can find it (…well, the footage anyway) hidden on his 10th Anniversary music video collection.

As with the \”SUMMER WIND\” tour, not going to italicize/bold specific recommendations for this one.

Misc. trivia:
-Yasuhiro Nakamori was involved in the scene ~Nokoshitai Fuukei~ album recording
-Sho Kojima was involved in one\’s recording. To the best of my knowledge, this was his first time performing with Naozumi, and he\’d soon become a regular fixture at live performances.
